Successful concert at the VSO Day of Music
By Clare
Thank you all who came to hear us at the Pyatt Hall yesterday for the Vancouver Symphony Day of Music event! It was so much fun for us, and so exciting for us to play for a big crowd in-person after so long! We didn’t know what to expect before we went, but we were so touched during the performance that there was a full house audience! I noticed there were many people standing in the back, and some were sitting on the floor in the aisle! (Some of you were caught in our camera! Haha…) Thank you all for such support!
This was a wonderful event for the local musicians to share their music with the locals! Beyond listening to different music, it’s a great day to spend exploring the different venues the VSO has to offer! On top of that, this was completely funded by the VSO, and therefore all concerts (12 hours) were free to the public! How amazing is that!!!
Our program was a mixture of humorous, familiar, fun, and exciting arrangements by Scott! (You can read more about the program notes here) Throughout the concert, there was much laughter and interaction between us and the audiences - the interaction is definitely something we missed very much! The energy the audience can provide for us performers is just something that’s irreplaceable with anything else!
We were especially excited to hear that many people mentioned how they didn’t think 4 hands concert could be so much fun!
We hope to see you again soon with more interesting arrangements of ours! (Just a reminder that if you’d like to know our upcoming concerts and updates, please visit the concert page to sign up for our mailing list!)
Special and big thanks to Peggy Hua for the nomination of us to be part of this event!
