Happy birthday, Chopin!

Here is our performance of Scott’s arrangement transforming some of Chopin’s most popular pieces into Happy Birthday! Can you tell the pieces Scott used? Which portion did you like the best? We're curious to know!

This was our first music video, and even though I had been working with the video editing program for many years, I really only knew the basics. So there was a bit of a learning curve. When it was first released, we were both relieved because it took a lot of time and at some point we weren’t sure if we would be able to release it on Chopin’s birthday. We did publish it some time in the afternoon on his birthday I remember, but we originally wished to finish it the day before. Now looking back, it’s interesting to see how my editing speed has improved so much comparing to back then!

This was also Scott’s first of composers’ happy birthday series. When I listened to it after he was done arranging it, I laughed a lot! I really thought it was brilliant how he transformed the happy birthday theme into some of these popular pieces by Chopin! It’s humorous and sophisticated! Brilliant!

P.S. It was also starting from this video last year when we started doing weekly release! Cant believe it has been a year already! This past year has definitely been very productive musically for us! It pushed us to learn an even greater repertoire and beyond just music! We look forward to sharing more interesting ideas of ours with you!
