Big snow in Vancouver

By Clare

We had our first big snow this year! The weather this year is so strange! First, the very late summer, followed by the late fall. And before all the leaves had fallen, we had our first snow already!

Vancouver is just not a city that’s well prepared for snow. I saw on the news the next day that many people left for work at 3 PM, and were stuck on the highway and couldn’t arrive home until very early in the morning next day! And with a couple hours of sleep, they had to get ready for work again! I feel so sorry for everyone who was stuck on the highway!

And the other hand, when I was looking out the window the next morning, the scenery was really beautiful with everything covered in white! It really makes you feel like you’re suddenly at a different place.

Here is a short clip of us shovelling at night, before the snow got too thick! If you have ever wondered if pianists do chores or house work, here is your answer!
