Concert at UVic - Emerging Artist Alumni Series

Big thank you to University of Victoria for the invitation to the Emerging Artist Alumni Concert Series. We had a memorable concert.

Our Saturday evening concert in Victoria is probably a concert with many feelings on my part in the recent concerts that we did. As soon as I stepped in the school of music, it felt like returning home. I remembered when I did my graduation recital, I was on the same stage, with the same Steinway. What is different now is the time that had passed. The professional acoustics of the hall and the beautiful colours from the Steinway are just like before. My professors were in the audience clapping for us, and for several moments it felt like as if I was back when I was a student again; they were also in the audience then, as if time never really passed.

As I walked in the school, I saw our faces posted everywhere, and it brought back memories of how I posted my graduation posters at the same places back then. Looking at our young stage manager’s cute face, I learned that she is currently a third year violin student at the school. I love being at a school, it’s so full of youthfulness and energy!

Our concert went really well, and we received so much priceless compliments from my professors. I want to take this opportunity to thank every person who had shared musical knowledge and provided musical nutrients to me allowing me to create music with this instrument, as well as being examples of no end to learning inspiring me to be the person that I am today.
