Happy Birthday to Animenz!

Happy Birthday to Animenz today! We wish you a very happy birthday!

To all pianists and the team who worked on the whole production:

It was so amazingly and beautifully done that we were both so blown away! Congratulations to all who were part of this project, and it was an honor for us to be invited to be part of it!

So, the “secret” project that we mentioned in the livestream yesterday was this Happy Birthday Concerto for Animenz that broadcasted today! It was meant to be a surprise for Animenz, so no one was supposed to say anything! But now that it’s released, let me share with you some behind the scenes from us!

So about 5 months ago, we were invited to the secret Animenz Piano Concerto server on discord. All pianists who were invited were asked to pick some of their favorite anime ost, and it went from there.

Our roles were pretty straight forward in the project. We received the parts, we learned them and recorded them, and we sent it in! But the whole team who had to organize everything was absolutely amazing! They had to figure out which pianist to play which part, the appropriate difficulties for different levels of pianists, the arranging, the deadlines….AND after all that, to work on the sound mixing (I don’t know how they did it especially with everyone’s piano being different as well as having both digital and acoustic pianos!), video editing…etc! Absolutely amazing! Bravo!

Lastly, I just want to say that……I hope they can catch on some sleep now! 😂😂
